Pamela L. Chubbuck, Ph.D., LPC

Originally trained as a Pastoral Counselor in the early 70's, Pam has spent most of her life studying and working toward unifying body/ emotions/mind/spirit through the study of psychology, medicine and bio-energy work of many disciplines. Pam spent over thirty years with John C Pierrakos, MD, founder of Core Energetics, as her mentor.

A psychotherapist with over 35 years of experience, Pam has studied Core Energetics personally and extensively with John Pierrakos, MD., founder of  The Core Energetic Evolutionary Process. She is also a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist. Pam is a certified Healing Science Practitioner, having graduated from the 4-year training program with Barbara Ann Brennan, author of "Hands of Light" and has studied extensively with Mietek Wirkus , internationally known healer and teacher of "Bio-Energy Healing".

Prior to this, Pam was a childbirth educator, midwife, sex educator and Assistant Professor at the University of the District of Columbia . As a Counselor/Educator at Georgetown University Hospital , she taught medical students and was the innovator of a program for counseling parents of defective newborns.

She is the Co-founder of the American Society for Psychoprophalaxis in Obstetrics in the Washington , D.C. area and Co-founder of GAIABRIEL, a national spiritually based organization, dedicated to the unification of body/emotions/mind/spirit. Pam created Personal Intensives (tm) to work with people in a unique supportive way.

Pam's Ph.D. is in psychology; her Master's degree is in counseling/psychology. She is a LCSW in The District of Columbia, an LMFT in Maine, (1992 -2002) and an LPC in Georgia . She is an Ordained Interfaith Minister and Practicing Healer. She supervises and teaches post graduate professionals internationally. Pam is an approved supervisor for LPCs in GA.

Pam is a master at working with and observing the human subtle energy, also called bio-energy, chi, and orgone. She teaches master classes in Mexico and Atlanta.

Pam's specialty is in working with the person as a whole; body/emotions/ mind /spirit, using primarily Core Energetics. Her expertise, therefore, covers a wide range including: psychosomatic problems, stress reduction, coping with illness and death, problems of childhood, adolescence and families, couples, alcohol/ co-dependence issues, sexual issues, sexual and physical abuse trauma, and spiritual issues, including spiritual emergence.

Pam takes pleasure in mentoring professionals and has mentored psychotherapists and psychotherapy students for over 2o years. In addition to working with individuals she enjoys working with couples and groups. Pam's wide range of professional experience spans over 35 years. Pam has raised 3 sons, who are among her greatest teachers. Her family now includes nine grandchildren.

Pam is on the International Faculty of the Institute of Core Energetics where she has taught and supervised post graduate therapists in Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and in the USA -- Georgia, New York and California. Pam was the director, for ten years, of "The School of Bio-Energy and Spiritual Healing", in Mexico . She is currently the Director of the "Core Energetic Institute South's FourYear Professional Training Program" in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pam is the Producer/Director of 2 video tapes, "Say Yes to Life" based on the Core Energetic Evolutionary Process. Now available as a DVD.

Pam is the author of, "Woman Spirit", an audio book/CD and "Welcome to the World: How and Why you Came to Earth"; a teaching Story for Young Children", "Passages into Womanhood: Empowering Girls to Love Themselves. A book to help us Celebrate and Mentor Girls and Young Woman."

Pam's new books, "Goodbye, Mom - I'll Always Love You" (more info at: www.goodbyemombook.com) and "Goodbye, Dad - I'll Always Love You" (more info at: www.goodbyedadbook.com), are interactive books to assist kids deal with their mother's and/ or father's death, and to assist care givers help their beloved child, will be published summer 2008 and available as an ebook.

"Countertransference: Healing the Dark Side of the Therapist", is in process. Also in process are "The Real Book of Witches for Girls", and "Your Client Has a Body: Healing the Mind/Body Split in Psychotherapy", publishing dates to be announced. Being a wounded healer herself, Pam is particularly interested in assisting Care Givers in their own healing process.

Pam lives and works outside of Atlanta , Georgia and Dennysville, Maine.
